The company BRITA, dealing with the production of spark-plugs with mica and later ceramic insulation, was founded in Tábor
1940
The German company OHM Keramische Werke from Berlin took control of the company and production was governed by war needs
1946
The company was transferred to the national administration of automobile and aeronautical companies PAL (this brand continues to be used as a trademark)
1948
The company combined with the competing company CÍL in Tábor
1953
The independent national enterprise JISKRA was founded, with focus on production of spark-plugs for cars
A new ceramic substance was discovered
1960
The company's production programme was principally enlarged by PALTEST diagnostic devices and low-voltage ignition for airplanes
1975
Commencement of production of third-generation spark-plugs
Production of technical and electrical ceramics
1988
Implementation of cold volume forming of spark-plug casings
Transformation of the national enterprise to a state-owned enterprise (1989)

The joint-stock company BRISK Tábor a.s. was founded as a legal successor of the state-owned enterprise JISKRA
